Cyber Monday is so 15 minutes ago, at least according to American Airlines.
The airline is offering complimentary 30 minute shopping sessions at 35,000 feet, the Fort Worth-based company announced Nov. 23.
Beginning Nov. 23 and running through Jan. 2, 2012, customers traveling on American's Wi-Fi equipped aircraft will be given 30 minutes of free access to special discounts and in-air exclusives at top retailers with the Gogo Fly & Buy Holiday Store.
"With the Gogo Fly & Buy Holiday Store, American Airlines customers can skip the Black Friday lines and do their holiday shopping on their flight home this Thanksgiving weekend," said Rob Friedman, American's vice president for marketing in a news release. "Keeping our customers connected is a key focus for American and teaming up with Gogo to offer free access to in-flight online shopping is just one of the ways we are working to make travel this holiday season a little more fun."
Customers flying on American during the holiday travel season can also purchase holiday Wi-Fi passes.
