Near-perfect weather helped Ripon’s Cookie Daze enjoy a strong turnout Saturday at Barlow Park.

“It was fantastic. I think this was our best year ever. We had so many business and organizations participating and doing events for the kids,” said Paula Price, executive director of the Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce, which organized the 16th-annual event. “We had a very Sweet 16 party.”

The event included a first-ever cookie drop for 3- and 4-year-olds, baby races, crafts for preschoolers, water rockets and plenty of cookies to go around.
